Malynda Cappelle

Malynda Cappelle is the Associate Director of the Center for Inland Desalination Systems at The University of Texas at El Paso. She has more than ten years of experience focused on water and energy. She received her BS in chemical engineering from the University of New Mexico and MS in chemical engineering from UC Davis. Her experience is primarily focused in the areas of water treatment technology and how to make use of technology to address water and energy security, environmental quality, and climate change issues. Her career has industrial (cooling tower, boiler, chilled water) experience and research & development, evaluation, commercialization, and application of new technologies. Ms. Cappelle is the PI for a UTEP/Veolia collaborative demonstration evaluating ZDD. This project is funded by the Bureau of Reclamation and is located at their Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Research Facility in Alamogordo, NM. Dr. Tom Davis and Malynda are co-inventors of the PV-T technology.
