Pradip Adhikari

Pradip Adhikari received his BS in agricultural science with a concentration in soil science from Nepal. After completing this degree he worked for different non-governmental organizations as an agricultural officer. During that time he received high tech cultivation and irrigation management training for high value vegetable crops from Israel. He received a masters degree from New Mexico State University during the fall of 2008 focusing on the impact of wastewater application on soil physical and chemical properties in the semi-arid ecosystem. Currently he is a PhD candidate at NMSU in the department of Plant and Environmental Sciences. His PhD research mainly focuses on determining and quantifying soil chemical, hydrological, and thermal soil properties of the West Mesa land application site and suggests suitable management strategies to reduce the detrimental effect of wastewater application on native ecosystems. He had already published some of his research results in respected international journals resulting from his masters and doctoral research.
